Privacy and your choices
Calculator use, educational chat, enquiries and newsletter subscriptions have separate purposes and permissions.
Local tools
Worksheet values stay in your browser. A saved plan is written to local browser storage only when you choose Save. Remove saved plan deletes that saved item. Downloads contain the assumptions and results shown; protect files that contain information you consider private.
Enquiries and optional sharing
When you submit an enquiry, MITEY stores your name, email, optional phone, exact previewed message, public source page, consent wording/version and receipt time in its owned Canadian CRM. Internal email alerts go to hello@mitey.ca through Resend. Transcript and worksheet sharing are independent, initially unchecked choices. We do not silently transmit your calculator entries, referrer, query values or device details through these forms.
Educational AI
After the separate chat notice is accepted, the messages you type are sent to the server-side AI service running through Cloudflare. AI can be inaccurate. It has public site context and no private-account action tools. Chatting does not create a CRM enquiry or newsletter signup. Avoid sensitive details.
Newsletters
A newsletter signup separately records your selected topics, email, optional name, source, timestamp and exact express-consent wording. Address ownership is unverified under the single opt-in flow; no automatic welcome or confirmation message is sent. The receipt provides an opaque unsubscribe link. Withdrawal stops that subscription’s future campaigns. Re-submitting a withdrawn address does not reactivate it. Contact hello@mitey.ca to request access, correction, withdrawal or deletion review.
Hosting and safeguards
The site remains on Lovable. Cloudflare operates the owned intake, AI and private Desk; Resend carries internal operational email. Infrastructure providers may process request/security logs. The intake uses a daily salted IP hash for bounded abuse prevention, not a raw IP in an enquiry. Private Desk access requires owner authentication. Enquiry, subscription and audit records are retained for the relevant operational/consent purpose; email hello@mitey.ca for an individual retention request.
